It was like a race which the clouds won but mere minutes.
Starting the day looking at yesterday’s sunset. Just a reminder that no matter how the day goes something spectacular can happen by day’s end.
It was a cold but comfortable morning at Marconi Beach. The wind was light and the surrounding color breathtaking. A good beach walking day.
Had the pleasure of taking a late afternoon walk in Falmouth recently. It had been a cold blustery day. The wind was buffered by the thick walls of trees on each side of the trail.
You could feel colder spots where the air was cold and still like night air. Or ghosts.
Back to one of my favorite winter spots for a spectacular sunset.
I was able to walk out about 50 yards out to the Atlantic Ocean this morning on a sandbar remaining from low tide. A few minutes before sunrise I had to return to the beach as the tide was coming in and it was too cold to be out with wet feet.
Long before the sun reached the horizon a beam of light brightened the sky.
There was a brief glow from the rising sun before it rose above the horizon. For the most part, the dunes blocked the chilly wind. Walking along the shoreline with only sea birds and a curious seal as company was a great way to start the day.
